Well, Royal Caribbean also decided to extend the suspension of sailing of their all ships. They are suspending all the ships till June 11, 2020 and Royal plan to return to service on June 12, 2020.

Royal Caribbean concerned about health and safety of guest as well as crew members on board and said your safety will be our top priority. They apologize for extending suspension of all ship and said we are terribly sorry and understand your disappointing.

Why Royal Caribbean extend their suspension again

See, last week on April 9, 2020, CDC announced the modifications and Extension of No Sail Order for All Cruise Ships. CDC working with Cruise Line to address the health and safety of guest and crew members on board as well community surrounding United State.

This is why Royal Caribbean suspend their all ships sailing till June 11, 2020 and they are expecting to return to service on June 12. Here what i believe, this is just an expectation of Royal Caribbean that they will resume on service on June 12, 2020. Its not only Royal Caribbean most of the cruise company are expecting same.

To See Carnival Expecting to Return to Service on June 27, 2020

But when CDC( Center for Disease Control and Prevention) announced No Sail Order for all Cruise Ships at that point of time CDC did not mention any certain period of time to resume of service. They just announced till further notice all the Cruise ships are extended.

The share market prices are falling dawn day by days of all Cruise company and it will be very hard for then to recover this crises. This global pandemic is effecting every sector around the world like tourism sector, Share market etc.

Why royal Expecting to return on july

See because of this global pandemic most of the port are also announced to remain close till further notice. That’s why Royal Caribbean announced because of port closures, we expecting to return to service for Alaska, Canada and New England sailings on July 1, 2020.

Carnival Extends pause In Operations

Yes it is true, Carnival Cruise Line is the First Cruise line who’s modified their extension of service. They announced Carnival Cruise resuming on June 17, 2020.

The CDC( Center for Disease Control and Prevention) announced Modifications and Extension of No Sail Order of All Cruise Ships. After CDC announcement the Carnival is the first company who’s modifies their suspension.

Carnival announced their modifications of suspension and said we will be extending our pause in operation again. They announced following:

All North American itineraries will be canceled through June 26, 2020 and resume again on June 27, 2020.

CDC announced No Sail Order for all Cruise ships

We are also canceling Carnival Sunrise seasonal itineraries and of New York, this summer and fail, to the end of 2020.

This is disappointing, but we are committed to being a strong partner with the government and taking steps to maintain public confidence in our business.

On April 9, 2020 CDC announced No Sail Order for All Cruise Ships in the fleet to address the public surrounding United State. They said cruising could be a causes of transmitting the disease so this is the strict announcement for all the cruise ships.

As soon as this announcement released out, Carnival Cruise line take immediate response on it and they also modified their suspension until June, 26 2020. They said we are pausing all Carnival service through June 26, 2020 and we will be resume again on June 27, 2020 for all North American Itineraries.

I believe other cruise company will also implement on CDC announcement and they will also extend their suspension of service. This announcement is mandatory for all cruise ships because CDC is only who is working with all cruise line industry to address the health and safety of all crew at sea as well as communities surrounding United State.

On March 29, 2020 Norwegian Dawn gave a grand farewell party to all lovely crew members and they said we will be back soon to serve. Of course they enjoy a lots with all fellow crew members. Everyone want to go home for their love one after finishing their contract but no one want to go like that.

The crew members who reached Manila are quarantine for at least 14 days. The Philippines Government arrange lots of hotels for them to quarantine for 14 days. And i personally think this is the best way to take precaution to protect the whole country from COVID-19.

The Philippines Government followed the same process for Norwegian Jade crew members. Once they reached to Manila they went for 14 days quarantine in respective place/hotels. After 14 days of quarantine they can go to see their family members.

Aida Cruise Line also repatriate their crew

This time on April 12, 2020. The crew members leave the ships at mid night @01:00 hrs for fly to Manila. See the living at sea is totally different from land, the ships are second home of every seafarares. And of course they enjoy their life as well but when its come to safety on board, they are very prepared. But this time need to fight with an unlisted Virus which is globally pandemic.

And we all know that on ships how difficult to keep away from any kind of flue or virus because ships are floating home. And these things spread very quickly on board that’s why all the cruise company want to send home all the crew as soon as possible.
